The Russell County Attorney’s Office offers a diversion program for individuals charged with certain Cold Check offenses. The County Attorney Cold Check Diversion Program or "CATS" Program provides those cited with minor Cold Check offenses the opportunity to watch an online Cold Check course as an alternative to appearing in court and being convicted. The charges will be dismissed for those that successfully complete the program. The cost of the program is $180.00.
